Jane the Virgin's Book to be Published in Real Life
If you’ve ever watched the critically acclaimed TV show “Jane the Virgin,” then you know that Jane, the show’s protagonist, has always dreamed of being a romance novelist. Her dream was recently achieved in the latest season of the show and viewers were eager to hear more about her novel debut, “Snow Falling.”
Fans clamored for the chance to read Jane’s creation as soon as the titular character received her book deal in a previous season. What viewers could not have expected was the actual publication of the novel “Snow Falling,” which is becoming reality, according to a recent press release.
“Jane The Virgin” creator Jennie Snyder Urman said: “I’m so thrilled that Adams Media as Lorden + Gregor is bringing Jane’s first novel to life and I can’t wait for fans to get to read it! Prepare to get swept up in an epic love story.”
The romance novel is described as “a truly epic saga” that embodies the best qualities of romance, adventure, and tragedy imbued in “Jane the Virgin” itself. Set in 1902 Miami — “a time of railroad tycoons, hotel booms, and exciting expansion for The Magic City,” — ”Snow Falling” will allow readers the opportunity to read the creation of their beloved TV character.
Karen Cooper, Vice President and Publisher at Adams Media adds, “We’re huge fans of the show and the way Jennie and her team tease ‘reality’ in such a fantastic and purposeful way. It just felt right that we should riff off that conceit and give Jane’s fans the [happily ever after] they have been waiting for.”
